Tecnam is an Italian aircraft manufacturer specializing in the development and manufacture of ultra-light aircraft and VLAs (Very Light Aircraft).

history

In 1986 the brothers Luigi and Giovanni Pascale, both formerly employed by the Partenavia Costruzioni Aeronautiche SpA , founded the Costruzioni Aeronautiche TECNAM company in Naples . The first machine that Tecnam brought onto the market was the P92 Echo, a small two-seat high - decker in the Micro Light Airplane class. This was followed by the P96 "Golf".

Since 2007, the twin-engine is P2006T with retractable landing gear, variable pitch propeller , optional IFR - glass cockpit and FAA -Zertifierung available. EASA approval of the aircraft, which is equipped with two Rotax 912 engines, took place on May 25, 2009. The extremely lightweight construction is intended to achieve the performance and, in particular, the price of single-engine four-seaters. By mid-2009, over 100 orders for the aircraft had already been received.

The company's production facilities are located at Capua Airfield .
