history

P2006T taking off at Hahnweide airfield .

Since 2007, the twin-engine's high-wing monoplane with retractable landing gear, Zweiblatt- pitch propeller (Hoffman HO-V352) with 1.78 m diameter and optional IFR - glass cockpit (Garmin G950) and FAA certification available. The first flight of the first prototype took place on September 13, 2007, followed by the second with analog instruments on June 9, 2008. The aircraft, equipped with two Rotax 912 engines and two 100-liter tanks in the wings, received EASA approval on May 25, 2009. The extremely lightweight construction of the machine, which is largely made of aluminum alloys, is intended to achieve the performance and especially the price (around 500,000 US dollars) of single-engine four-seater vehicles. The wings are equipped with winglets and have a NACA-63A profile with laminar flow. By mid-2009, over 100 orders for the aircraft had already been received.

On December 21, 2016, it was announced that the Dominican Republic Air Forces would be the first military users of the P2006T. The machines are used to monitor the airspace over the sea and are, according to the project, equipped with special monitoring technology supplied by the USA .
