Ted Power

Ted Power (civil Horst Daum , born January 26, 1948 in Velbert - Neviges , † September 10, 2010 in Wuppertal - Barmen ) was a German pop singer .

In his youth Horst Daum sang in a church choir and joined a beat band. He took his stage name Power when he sang a song for the Airbus A300 on behalf of the Airbus group and looked for a word that rhymed with Tower .

In the 1990s he dedicated himself to the hit and released several records . In addition, he hosted his own weekly program on the local radio station Radio Wuppertal , to which he regularly invited well-known hits. In 2004 he celebrated his 40th stage anniversary.

Ted Power got involved with numerous benefit concerts, especially in his hometown of Wuppertal, for social projects.

On September 10, 2010, at the age of 62, he died of cancer in Wuppertal.
