The Teichmühle is a former grinding mill between Wernigerode and Schmatzfeld in the Harz district , which is now used for residential purposes. In 1790 the new construction of the mill is mentioned as an oil mill. Until 1909 the mill remained in the possession of the counts and princes of Stolberg-Wernigerode as a count's hereditary interest mill. It was operated by the water of a mill pond, which is now called Reddeberteich . Today the federal road 244 , where there is a bus stop , passes directly in front of the building .
