Telebears

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Telebärchen (also: Berliner Telebärchen or SFB-Telebärchen ) was the mascot of the broadcaster Free Berlin (SFB). It was used from 1959 to 2003 as a so-called advertising separator during the advertising blocks in the evening program.

The Telebärchen is available in different versions. It began in 1959 with an initially black and white, later colored Telebärchen. As in a spot in front of the evening news has been demonstrated in gymnastics and bedtime at the crescent moon.

In the meantime, the telebears were represented by two panda bears , which were replaced a short time later by three purple telebears.

With the merger of the SFB with the Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg to form the rbb in 2003, the Telebärchen were no longer produced.

The draftsman of the animations is Ernst J. Schienke.
