The Teltower FV was founded in 1913 under the name SC Teltow 1913 . Until 1933, the club played in the championship of workers' sports always under-class. Like the Dresdner SV 1910 , the SC Teltow split into two teams in 1931, each of which competed in the championships of the Workers' Gymnastics and Sports Association and Red Sports . When the National Socialists came to power, the club was not dissolved, but only appeared in the regional area of Berlin until 1945.

In 1945 the club was dissolved and re-established as SG Teltow . The sports group was in the early fifties to the Sports Association and ran as BSG Empor Teltow , later as BSG Askania Teltow on. In 1951 the company was renamed Motor Teltow again . With the dissolution of the states and the establishment of the districts, Motor Teltow became a founding member of the third-class district league Potsdam . The BSG held the newly founded district league with mostly secured midfield positions. In the FDGB Cup 1954/55 , the Brandenburgers reached the second round after a 2-0 victory over SG Grünau , but were defeated 0-2 in the following round to the favored GDR upper division team Motor Altenburg . In 1957, Motor Teltow was relegated to the district class again.

In 1969 Motor Teltow merged with the district league club ASG Vorwärts Potsdam to form SG Vorwärts / Motor Teltow . In the end, there were only a few players from Teltow in the district league team. The SG consisted primarily of military service players from the league from Potsdam and Stahnsdorf. In 1977 the merger was dissolved. Motor Teltow operated in third class until 1989, any promotions in the GDR league did not take place. The greatest success was winning the Potsdam District Cup in 1981, in which BSG Motor Teltow was able to prevail 2: 1 against the second representative of Motor Babelsberg . In the associated qualification for the FDGB Cup 1981/82, Teltow lost 3-1 to Bergmann-Borsig Berlin .

In 1990, the football department broke away from the BSG and re-founded the Teltower FV in 1913 . Since the fall of the Wall, the TFV has only acted in a lower class.
