The Tempest Peak (English for storm peak ) is a pointed and 3410 m high mountain with a 3345 m high southern sub-peak in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain of the Transantarctic Mountains, it rises 5 km north-northeast of Storm Peak in the Marshall Mountains .
The crew of a 1961-1962 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named him after the weather conditions they encountered in the area of this mountain.
