Tempesta is a Swiss hard rock band.
The band was founded in 1994 by Reto Thalmann and Louis Chicherio and a short time later it was supplemented with Pascal Fuchs and Andy Schuler. With the former line-up, the quartet performed live at numerous smaller events in Switzerland. The first recording was the song "Depression" in 1995, the first CD was made in 1999 under the name "Slow". This was followed in 2001 by the single "Three". In 2002 the first album was released under the title "Platinum" . This contained twelve songs and was produced by the band on their own. In 2003 the band separated from the then drummer Andy Schuler, and Armin Brühwiler joined the band in his place.
After Tempesta had only performed sporadically in previous years, in 2007 several performances took place in Germany, Austria, France, Italy and the Netherlands. In 2008, with the arrival of Ruedi Kälin, another change in the band formation took place. With the two singles "Grow" (2008) and "The Way It Is" (2009) Tempesta entered the Swiss hit parade .
Manuel Burkart from the cabaret duo DivertiMento occasionally has guest appearances at concerts as a guitarist. On the new single Drag You Down , which was released on August 22, 2014, Burkart appears as the divertimento figure Julian Kaufmann .
On October 10, 2014, the fifth album Roller Coaster was released .
