Tennbachlücke

The Tennbachlücke is a high alpine mountain crossing in the Bernese Alps .

It is located at an altitude of 3097  m above sea level. M. between the Sackhorn in the west and the Elwertätsch in the east and connects the Gastern Valley in the north ( Canton Bern ) with the Lötschental in the south ( Canton Valais ).

The first tourist crossing of the Tennbachlücke took place on August 5, 1894 by Edward Felix Mendelssohn Benecke and Henry Alfred Cohen.
