The Elwertätsch is a 3208 m above sea level. M. high mountain in Switzerland in the Bernese Alps .
The mountain is on the border of the cantons of Bern and Valais and is halfway between Sackhorn and Birghorn, southwest of the Petersgrats . On the south side is the Tennbach Glacier , southeast of the Telling Glacier and on the north side there are smaller hanging glaciers like the Birg Glacier ; the summit itself is ice-free.
The Elwertätsch can be done in summer as a simple high-altitude tour or alpine hike or in winter as a ski tour (WS). There are neither tourist facilities nor refuges on the mountain.
