Festivals and folklore
In Teno Alto every year in the second weekend of September a festival is celebrated in honor of the Lady of Candelaria and in honor of the patron saint of the place, St. Jerome . Because Teno Alto was partially cut off from the Spanish infrastructure due to its lack of road connections until 1972, many traditions and customs have been preserved there up to the present day.
Infrastructure
Teno Alto can be reached via a junction of the TF-436 road, which connects Santiago del Teide to Buenavista del Norte via Masca .
