Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Los Remedios
Its origins go back to the 16th century, as there are records from 1558 that tell of a church with two side chapels. In 1605 the construction of the choir and a simple bell tower began, which was replaced at the beginning of the 19th century by a bell housing, which was crowned by a cement-covered conical element, and in turn was renewed by the current tower.
Both the large altarpiece in Baroque style, as well as goldsmithing, paintings and images of saints, also from the Baroque era, were lost in a fire on June 22nd, 1996, in which only the outer walls and the tower remained. It was then that the image of the community's patron saint, Nuestra Señora de Los Remedios, which was fervently venerated by the residents of Buenavista and even the rest of the islands, was destroyed. Today a replica carved in Cadiz is in the church.
The golf course designed by Severiano Ballesteros has 18 holes. The place was put into operation in 2003. In connection with the golf course, a beach promenade paved with natural stones was created, which runs along the steep coast.
