Teodor Anghelini (born March 9, 1954 in Oraşul Stalin, today Brasov, German: Kronstadt) is a former Romanian football player . The defender denied 334 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A .

Career

Anghelini began playing football in his hometown Brașov with Steagul Roșu Brașov , where he came in the 1971/72 season in the first team that was represented at the time in the top Romanian division, Divizia A (now League 1 ). On May 3, 1972 he came to his first use in the game against UTA Arad . In the following season he developed into a regular player.

In the summer of 1974 Anghelini left Brașov and moved to Steaua Bucharest , where he became a permanent part of the team in the first year. With Steaua he was able to win the championship in the 1975/76 and 1977/78 seasons and the Romanian Cup in 1976 and 1979 . In the autumn of 1983 he left the club and let his career with Steaua Mizil come to an end, initially in Divizia C , after advancing to Divizia B in 1984 .

National team

Anghelini played 25 games for the Romanian national football team , but could not achieve a goal. He made his debut on March 23, 1974 in a friendly against France . He last wore the national jersey against Poland on August 29, 1979 .
