Tepe Hissar

Tepe Hissar , also Tappe Hesar; is the name of two ruined mounds ( Tepe ) near the city of Damghan in the Semnan Province in Iran about 80 km south of the Caspian Sea .

During US excavations in 1931/1932, ceramics from the 4th and 3rd millennium BC were found. As well as vessels and jewelry made of gold and silver from the 3rd and 2nd millennium BC. Found. In addition, the remains of a Sassanid palace with stucco ornamentation were excavated.
