Terence O'Connor

Sir Terence James O'Connor (born September 13, 1891 - May 7, 1940 ) was a conservative politician in the United Kingdom .

He was elected to the House of Commons in the 1924 election for the Luton constituency, but lost his seat in the October 1929 election to Liberal candidate Leslie Burgin .

O'Connor returned to Parliament seven months later by by -election in the Nottingham Central constituency and held that seat until his untimely death.

He was Attorney General for England and Wales from 1936 until his death in 1940 . In 1936 he was knighted as a Knight Bachelor .
