Teresa de la Parra (born October 5, 1889 in Paris , † April 23, 1936 ; actually Ana Teresa Parra Sanojo ) was a Venezuelan writer.

Teresa de la Parra is considered one of the most important representatives of Venezuelan women's literature. Her novel Ifigenia, diario de una señorita que escribió porque se fastidiaba (German under the title: Diary of a young lady who is bored ) was published in Paris in 1924 and in a revised version in 1928. Among other things, it was included in the UNESCO collection more representative Works and in the Manesse Library of World Literature . In addition to short stories, her work also includes essays. She is buried in the Panteón Nacional de Venezuela (National Pantheon of Venezuela).
