The Goldstream Creek is an approximately 130 km long left tributary of the Chatanika River in central Alaska .
The Goldstream Creek arises at the confluence of Pedro Creek and Gilmore Creek on the eastern outskirts of Fox in the Yukon Tanana Highlands at an altitude of about 275 m . From there it flows 90 km in a predominantly west-southwest direction through the hill country. Fairbanks is 10 km south of the river. The Goldstream Creek has numerous narrow river loops . After about 90 km the river reaches the Tanana lowlands. It turns north, flows through the lake area of the Minto Lakes and finally flows into the Chatanika River, 50 km above its mouth in the Tolovana River .
The river was named in 1903 by Thomas Golden Gerdine of the US Geological Survey (USGS) . The Goldstream Creek valley was one of the first gold rush areas in the Fairbanks region. The gold was extracted from the river sediments. There are still numerous pits and quarry ponds on the river below Fox.
There is another river of the same name in Alaska. This is the 10 km long headwaters of the South Fork Hess Creek .
