The Terminator (also known as Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 ( CSM 101 ) and T-800 ) is a fictional character from the Terminator franchise , embodied by Arnold Schwarzenegger and supposed to portray an android .

Appearances

The Terminator's first appearance was in Terminator , a 1984 science fiction film directed by James Cameron , as an antagonist . In the film, the Terminator was sent from the future to the past by machines that see humanity as a threat to kill Sarah Connor to give birth to John Connor, the man who will prevent the submission of humanity to the machines, to prevent.
