The Terminus Mountain is a 800 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises just south of the Adams Glacier on the east side of the Royal Society Range .
The so-called western group of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) made their first ascent on March 1, 1911. Thomas Griffith Taylor , leader of this group, named the mountain so because it was the most distant point ( English terminus ) reached during the expedition in this area.
