Tero Turkki (* 1978 ; † April 22, 2015 ) was a Finnish ski jumper .

Career

Turkki jumped in the Continental Cup (COC) from 1993 . In his first season he reached 18 points and was thus at the end of the 1993/94 season on the 127th place in the Continental Cup overall ranking. The following season 1994/95 was very successful for him, so that on January 1, 1995 he was nominated for the first time for a jumping in the ski jumping World Cup . In his first competition in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he surprisingly reached 13th place. However, he could not repeat this success and mostly only just missed the points in the following World Cup competitions. He was only able to land just once within the World Cup points and won two World Cup points in Lahti . He finished the 1994/95 World Cup season with 23 points in 70th place overall. In the Continental Cup he finished 6th overall with 573 points. However, he was unable to build on the successes of the 1994/95 season in either the World Cup or the Continental Cup. In 1999 he ended his active ski jumping career.
