Teruki Tabata ( Japanese 田 畑 輝 樹 , Tabata Teruki ; born April 16, 1979 in Kagoshima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Soccer
Tabata learned to play soccer on the school team at Kagoshima Jitsugyo High School . He signed his first contract in 1998 with Albirex Niigata , playing in the Japanese second division, the Japan Football League . In 1999 he rose with the club in the J2 League . In 1999 he ended his playing career.
Beach soccer
With the Japanese national team he qualified for the Beach Soccer World Championship in 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2011 , 2013 , 2015 , 2017 and 2019 .
