The Tessensohn ridge is a mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Barker Range of the Victory Mountains , it extends from Mount Burton in a south-westerly direction.
Scientists from the German expedition GANOVEX IV (1984–1985) named him. It is named after Franz Tessensohn (1939–2019), who established polar research at the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources .
