The Teufelsstein is a menhir in Sennewitz , a district of Petersberg (Saalekreis) in Saxony-Anhalt . It is located in the middle of the village, right next to the eastern cemetery wall.

The stone is no longer upright and has two depressions on its current top. There is no information about the type of rock and the dimensions.
The devil's stone in regional legends
The stone in Sennewitz is one of several stones around the Petersberg - including the Franzosenstein von Seeben and the Teufelsstein von Piltitz - around which a common legend revolves. Accordingly, the devil threw the stones from the mountain at various churches, but missed them. In Sennewitz, a crack in the brickwork of the church that is still visible today is said to bear witness to this. Depressions in the devil's stones were viewed as the devil's fingerprints, as were the two depressions in the Sennewitz stone.
