Teun van Dijk

Teun Adrianus van Dijk (born May 7, 1943 in Naaldwijk, Netherlands ) is a linguist and racism researcher.

He is currently working at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona . In Germany he influenced research on racism and the development of critical discourse analysis. Joint research took place as part of the Duisburg School of Critical Discourse Analysis , in collaboration with Siegfried Jäger and the Duisburg Institute for Linguistic and Social Research . Teun van Dijk developed fundamental analysis methods for empirical research into everyday racism .
