Théatre de Bligny in Fontenay-lès-Briis

The Théatre de Bligny in Fontenay-lès-Briis , a French commune in the Essonne department in the Île-de-France region , was built in 1934.

Founded in 1900, the Société des sanatoriums populaires pour les tuberculeux adultes (Society of People's Sanatoriums for Adults with Tuberculosis ), which had set up a sanatorium in Bligny Castle, had the theater built on the site by the architect Lucien Magne , with theater and cinema performances took place. Well-known actors such as Bourvil , Jean-Louis Barrault and Pierre Dac performed here.

In the 1970s the theater was closed.
