Thabo Matlaba (born December 13, 1987 in Tembisa ) is a South African football player . He has played with the Orlando Pirates in the Premier Soccer League since 2012 .

Career

society

Matlaba played for Leicester City South Africa and Mighty Tigers FC in his youth before earning his first professional contract with the Free State Stars in the Premier Soccer League in 2010 . There he played a year and a half and played 33 league games in which he scored three goals. For the summer break of the 2011/12 season, he moved to the Orlando Pirates league, with whom he secured the championship title in his first season. He made his debut for the Pirates on matchday 18 in the starting line-up in a 1-0 win against Maritzburg United . In the 2013/14 season, Matlaba won the Nedbank Cup , the South African football cup, with the club .

National team

He made his debut in the South African national team on May 14, 2011 against the Tanzanian national team . By November 2017, he played a total of 28 international matches and scored one goal.
