Squidward the Ritz

Thaddäus Ritz , from 1853 by Ritz , (born October 28, 1805 in Weißenstein , Oberamt Göppingen, † July 29, 1866 in Rottenburg am Neckar ) was a Württemberg theologian and member of the state parliament.

life and work

Thaddäus Ritz attended the Latin school in Schwäbisch Gmünd and the grammar school in Ellwangen. After the state examination at the lower Konvikt in Rottweil, he studied Catholic theology at the Tübingen Wilhelmsstift from 1826 to 1830 . After being ordained a priest in 1831, he was vicar in Rottweil and parish administrator in Ergenzingen before he became city pastor in Reutlingen in 1834. In 1841 he became dean and pastor at St. Eberhard in Stuttgart and in 1848 cathedral chapter in Rottenburg. In this function he was city dean, cathedral and city pastor at the same time. In 1862 he was finally dean of the cathedral in Rottenburg.

As a representative of the cathedral chapter Thaddäus Ritz entered the Württemberg state parliament in 1856 .

In 1853 Thaddäus Ritz was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Württemberg Crown . With the award of the order the elevation into personal nobility ( ennoblement ) was connected.
