Thalkirchdorf has been part of the Oberstaufen market in the Oberallgäu district since 1972 , a parish village in the Konstanz Valley .

Hündle gondola lift (2013)

The Hündle chairlift was a 950 meter long double chairlift built in 1963 near Hündle-Thalkirchdorf (Knechtenhofen), which overcame a height difference of 285 meters. The drive of the Hündle adventure railway, the rope of which was 26 mm in diameter, took place in the valley station. The Hündle adventure railway had 85 chairs and a capacity of 710 people per hour. After its last trip on November 5, 2012, it was shut down and dismantled.

The new Hündle gondola lift built by Doppelmayr started on December 22, 2012 . The gondola lift has 8-person cabins with heated seats, among other things . It has a sloping length of 930 meters, overcomes a height difference of 294 meters and can transport a maximum of 2,400 people per hour. It is operated in summer and winter.
