Thang de Hoo (born August 20, 1962 in Leiden ) is a Dutch fashion designer of Chinese-Dutch origin. He graduated from the "TSMK" fashion college in The Hague . The designer has lived and worked in Vienna since 1990 and has been commuting between Vienna and Geneva since 2010 .

Career

After graduating from the "TSMK" he worked for a short time for fashion labels in the Netherlands as a freelancer . The first own collections with international fashion shows and presentations in Berlin, Hamburg and Paris followed. From 1998 to 2007 he worked as chief designer for the fur store "Liska" and moved to the fashion house Fürnkranz as chief designer and creative director. At the same time, in 2008 he opened his “Thang de Hoo” couture studio in Vienna. At the beginning of 2010 he entered into a cooperation with the Geneva fashion house Daniel Benjamin Geneva .

style

He prefers clear lines in his cut, which always contain unexpected details. His favorite materials include silk, cashmere, but also fur and leather. Especially known for his couture creations, these are worn by national and international stars.
