Thanh Lam ( Ðoàn Thanh Lam , born June 19, 1969 in Hà Nội ) is a Vietnamese singer who is considered one of the pop divas in Vietnam.

Live and act

Thanh Lam, daughter of the composer Thuận Yến and the musician Thanh Hương , began studying the Đàn tỳ bà , a traditional Vietnamese four- stringed lute , at the Hanoi Conservatory at the age of nine ; In 1985 she switched to singing.

After receiving several awards at international music festivals, she won the 1991 national competition for professional singers in Vietnam with the title Chia Tay Hoàng Hôn, her father's, who later composed many of her successful titles . In addition, she sang compositions by Thanh Tùng , Dương Thụ , Quốc Trung (her husband from 1994 to 2004) and Lê Minh Son . She worked with Vietnamese musicians such as Trần Thu Hà , Mỹ Linh , Hồng Nhung , Tùng Duong and Trọng Tấn , as well as with Niels Lan Doky , Le Minh Son and her younger brother Trí Lin .

In 1998 Than Lam had her first live show in Vietnam Em va Toi . She recorded more than thirty albums and performed with Nils Lan Doky in the Vong Nguyet project at the Roskilde Festival and other concerts in 2006 and 2007 .
