The Absent-Minded Waiter is an American short film from 1977.
action
The Cates are served by a waiter who does everything wrong. He is forgetful, asks the same question several times, brings either the wrong thing or the right thing for it several times (depending on how often he has asked). He pours out water before he has brought the glasses and brings dessert before the main course. The waiter ruins and destroys everything except the bill.

In 1978 the film was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Short Film category.
