The Accüsed is an American hardcore punk band from Oak Harbor , Washington . The band broke up in 1992, but re-founded in 2003. The band calls their style "splatter rock". In addition to the band, there is also the mascot "Martha Splatterhead", who has the shape of a zombie . It was designed by Tommy Niemeyer and can be seen on almost all of the band's albums. Most of the band's songs are also about "Martha Splatterhead". Both the name of the self-invented genre and that of the mascot are inspired by splatter films .

Band history
