The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (abbreviated Am. J. Clin. Nutr. ) Is a monthly health magazine in the field of nutritional medicine , in the peer-reviewed published procedures.

The journal was first published in 1952 under the name Journal of Clinical Nutrition by the Nutrition Press. SO Waife was the editor-in-chief. From 1954 the magazine was published under its current name by the American Society for Clinical Nutrition . The American Society for Nutrition is now the publisher. The current editor-in-chief is Christopher Duggan.

A 2009 survey by the Biomedicine and Life Sciences Division of the Special Libraries Association ranked the journal as one of the "100 Most Influential Journals ... of the Last 100 Years" in biology and medicine. The impact factor in 2018 was 6.568.

Conflicts of Interest

Marion Nestle expressed concern about a conflict of interest among AJCN staff. Nestle stated that “the majority - 7 out of 12 - of employees advise companies. In a 2015 report, Michele Simon raised concerns about corporate exposure in the American Society for Nutrition magazines.
