The Arcane Order are a thrash metal band from Kolding ( Denmark ).

history

Autumn Leaves , the old band of guitarist Flemming C. Lund , split up in the summer of 2000 . Lund then joined the band Invocator and wrote songs for his own band, called Scavenger. Due to a lack of time, not much happened in the first years of the band's history. It wasn't until 2003 that Lund continued to write the songs and looked for new musicians. Lund brought his former Autumn Leaves colleague Boris Tandrup on board as bass player. The new drummer was Morten Løwe Sørensen, who was only 20 at the time. Lawrence Mackory, who made the Darkane debut, took over the vocals . In June 2004 the band went to Jacob Hansen's Antfarm Studio to record the instrumental parts for a promo CD. The singing was to be recorded a short time later in Sweden. When the band didn't get anything from Mockory after seven months, Lund contacted Raunchy singer Kasper Thomsen, who was very interested in the singer part. In May 2005 Thomsen took up the vocals and the promo CD was released. The German record company Metal Blade signed the band in September 2005. However, for legal reasons, the band had to renounce the name Scavenger and renamed itself The Arcane Order. In April 2006 the band returned to Hansen's Antfarm Studio and recorded the debut album The Machinery of Oblivion , which was released on August 11, 2006. On October 28, 2006 the band played their first concert in Ribe, Denmark . Further concerts in Denmark will follow in November.
