The Balancing Act (also known as Balancing Act ) was an American alternative folk rock band from Los Angeles , California. The band was founded in the mid-1980s and consisted of the musicians Jeff Davis (guitar, vocals), Ken Straus (guitar), Steve Wagner (bass, guitar, vocals), Willie Aron (guitar, keyboard, melodica, percussion) and Robert Blackmon (drums, vocals).
history
The band first released the single New Campfire Songs in 1986 on Type A Records. In 1987 their first album followed under the title Three Squares and a Roof on the Primitive Man Recording Company label, produced by Vic Abascal. A year later, her album Curtains was released on IRS Records by founder Miles Copeland III . Here you worked with the producer Andy Gill . One of the best-known pieces of the band is the song Can You Get To That. The formation The Balancing Act oriented their music to bands like Winter Hours or Don Dixon, some pieces musically also remind of the quieter songs of the group Midnight Oil .
