The Beat Shakers are a Serbian DJ - duo , consisting of Ivan Gojković and Nenad Kosovac is. They became known as guest musicians with DJ Antoine with the song Ma Chérie .

Members

Ivan Gojković (* 1980) was influenced by the disco music of the 1970s and New Wave and started a career as a DJ in the late 1980s with his first own productions. From 1999 he played his songs in many Serbian clubs and met Nenad Kosovac there.

Nenad Kosovac (born February 21, 1980) was inspired by dance music through countless records by his father from the 1960s to 1990s . He collected the records and wrote each one down on a list, wishing he would be at the top of all radio charts. He started his career as a DJ Colle with a DJ booth in his room. In 1997 he started running a private radio station in Pristina. Two years later he met Ivan Gojković at one of his usual appearances in a club in Belgrade.

Career as The Beat Shakers

After performing together in many clubs, they decided to found the DJ duo The Beat Shakers in the spring of 2008, and shortly afterwards, in 2009, released their first single Ma Chérie , which they performed with Raul Alberto, the front man the band So Sabi . After only a week, the video was broadcast on almost every radio and TV station in Serbia and ex-Yugoslav countries. A year later a version was released together with DJ Antoine, it contained vocals by the Swiss singer Angel. This version was played all over Europe and reached the top 10 of all European charts such as B. in Germany , Austria or Switzerland.

In August 2010 the Beat Shakers released a new single called Prisoner . This time, the singer Sonja Bakić, who was known from the reality show Operacija Trijumf , sang along . The official music video was filmed on the Croatian coast. Nikolina Pisek, one of the most famous Croatian TV presenters, was also featured in the music video for Prisoner . In July 2011 the song U inat prošlosti was released. It was recorded with Aleksandra Radović, one of the most popular Serbian singers .

Since 2007 the duo has had their own radio show called The Beat Shakers Radio Show on the Serbian radio station TOP FM , in which they play new hits from the international and local DJ scene. In addition to many solo performances, they have also recorded songs with many international DJs such as Sebastian Ingrosso , Axwell , Benny Benassi , Sandy Rivera, DJ Antoine and many more. Since the summer of 2010 they have also had many international appearances such as in Zurich, Barcelona, ​​Prague and Skopje.
