The Bottrops is a punk band from Berlin that was founded in 2006. The band has been inactive since around 2014 but has not officially broken up.
history
The band was founded in March 2006 by the three former members of the terrorist group Slash Vicious, Johnny Bottrop and Steve Maschine West, as well as by Bang Bang Benno, a former member of the band Xarecrows.
In the fall of 2006, Steve Maschine West left the band. In his place came Cris Crise, who had played on Cut My Skin, among others. In the winter of 2008, Cris Crise also left the band. He was replaced by Robo Borowski, who had previously drummed with the "Xarecrows". Robo Borowski also left the band for a year. He was replaced by The Ace (ex-The Breathalyzers, ex-Utopia Now). He left the band in 2012 after recording the third album Hinterhofhits . Then Stevo Petrocelli worked as a drummer.
The band's first recordings were initially only released as a download under the title Unterhund-EP in 2006. On May 25, 2007, the band released their first, self-titled album. On April 24, 2009, the second long player Entertainment Overkill was released . On November 23, 2012, the third album Hinterhofhits was released.
Bang Bang Benno and The Ace also played with the band "RockShoe".
The band made their last appearances in 2013, the band had to cancel two appearances in 2014 because Bang Bang Benno was filming in the USA.
