Dennis Kruppke (born April 1, 1980 in Münster ) is a former German soccer player . He was used as an attacking midfielder or winger .

Career

After Kruppke had played in various youth teams in Lübeck and Bad Schwartau , he made the jump to the men's team of the then regional league club VfB Lübeck in 2000 , where he was used as a striker. In 2002 Kruppke rose with the club in the 2nd Bundesliga .

From the 2003/04 season he played as a midfielder in the Bundesliga for the newly promoted SC Freiburg . In the second half of the 2006/07 season he was loaned out for six months to VfB Lübeck, who had since been relegated to the Regionalliga. There he completed 15 regional league games and scored seven goals. In the first half of the 2007/08 season he was back in the Freiburg squad - this time as a defender.

In the absence of match practice, Kruppke moved to Eintracht Braunschweig in the Regionalliga Nord in early January 2008 . In May 2010, he extended his expiring contract with Eintracht for another three years until June 30, 2013. In the 2010/11 season, Eintracht Braunschweig won the championship with Kruppke as team captain and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . At the end of the 2012/13 season he rose to the first Bundesliga with Eintracht Braunschweig. He missed eight games in 2012/13 due to knee problems, but otherwise made 23 appearances in which he scored eleven goals. At the end of the season , in which he had missed seven games due to a calf injury and a hamstring, Braunschweig was relegated. At the beginning of the second division season 2014/15 Kruppke played 17 times, but had to pause from the 22nd matchday due to an operation on his knee. He ended his career in summer 2015.

Following his active career, the former team captain of the Braunschweig team began studying to become an IHK sports specialist and, in this context, completed an accompanying internship at the Eintracht junior performance center at the Sportpark Kennel.
