The football club Dornbreite Lübeck from 1958 e. V. shortly FC Dornbreite , is a football club from Luebeck , which, within the district of St. Lawrence North in the district Dornbreite is located. The first team played from 2012 to 2015, from 2017 to 2018 and since 2020 in the Oberliga Schleswig-Holstein , the highest amateur league in Schleswig-Holstein .

The association was founded in 1958. The first team rose to the district league south for the first time in 1973 and immediately became runner-up behind NTSV Strand 08 . In 1977 the team rose to the Verbandsliga Süd after the Lübeck team were able to prevail in a promotion round. A year later, the march succeeded in the Schleswig-Holstein State League , at that time the top division in Schleswig-Holstein. After the relegation was missed, the club slipped down after three relegations in a row to the district league.
In 1984, FC Dornbreite was one of the founding members of the district class and made it straight away. In 1989 he returned to the second highest division in the country, now known as the national league . After relegation two years later, the company was promoted again in 1994. In 1999, the FC Dornbreite rose to the Schleswig-Holstein Association League , but missed relegation again. It was followed by several years in the district Oberliga Süd , where the team failed in the promotion round in 2004.
Two years later, he was promoted to the association league. From this, the FC Dornbreite rose again in 2008 as bottom of the table and continued to play in the Association League South-East after a league reform . After the championship in 2012, the club was promoted to the top division of the country for the third time. The following season 2012/13 in the Schleswig-Holstein-Liga finished the FC Dornbreite in 9th place and thus secured the class stay. Two years later, FC Dornbreite was relegated and managed to get promoted again in 2017, but had to relegate immediately.
The second team of FC Dornbreite succeeded in the 2012/13 season in the championship in the Lübeck district league, so that they will contest the coming season for the first time in the Association League South-East.
The A-youth of FC Dornbreite won the state championship in 1972 and qualified for the German championship , where they failed in the first round at FV Lörrach . With Dennis Kruppke , FC Dornbreite produced a Bundesliga player.
