The Turn- und Sportverein Pansdorf von 1920 eV is a sports club from Pansdorf in the East Holstein municipality of Ratekau , which attracted attention mainly through its football department: The first men's team played for several years in the fourth-class Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein league and failed several times only just about to be promoted to the third-class regional league. The team currently plays in the sixth class Holstein league . In addition, there are almost ten other branches in the club, such as handball and tennis .

Soccer

In terms of football, the TSV only attracted attention after the end of the war. In the 2nd Amateur League South / District League South, the Pansdorfer developed into a permanent fixture and were able to mix in the top group for years. In 1972 the club won the Schleswig-Holstein State Cup for the first time in club history by defeating SC Comet Kiel . The club rose to the highest class in the state in 1984, but was only able to stay there for a year and had to relegate again. The Pansdorfer, however, managed to immediately rise again.

In the period that followed, TSV Pansdorf developed into a permanent fixture in Schleswig-Holstein football: after several years in midfield, it was able to win the vice-championship of the Schleswig-Holstein Association League for the first time in 1990/91 and took part in the promotion round to the third-class Oberliga Nord for the first time , but failed here quite clearly. Nevertheless, the club stayed in the upper third of the table in the association league for the next few years and managed to qualify for the Oberliga Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein, which formed the fourth division from 1994 onwards. In the first season of the league Pansdorf got into relegation difficulties, but saved after a coach change (Torsten Landsberg was replaced by Hans-Friedrich Brunner) from relegation to the fifth division. Under Brunner, TSV quickly developed into a top team in the major league and was able to qualify for the first time in 1996 for the relegation games to the Regionalliga Nord. Weakened by the injury-related loss of several players, the team had to admit defeat after a 1: 1 in the first leg with 1: 4 at Göttingen 05 .

In 1997, the club won the state cup for the second time in its history by defeating Holstein Kiel and was thus allowed to participate in the 1997/98 DFB Cup . In the first round TSV was eliminated with 1: 4 against Energie Cottbus . In the league, TSV continued to be in the first third of the table and took part in the relegation to the regional league again in 1999 with players like Jens Paeslack and Jürgen Oelbeck . After a 4-0 defeat at FC Bremerhaven , a 2-0 home win was not enough for promotion. In 2000, the club signed off for financial reasons from the league and started in the district league. The club has played in the sixth class association league since 2008, before qualifying for the newly created Holstein State League in 2017. In 2020 the TSV became champions of the Landesliga Holstein and thus rose to the football league Schleswig-Holstein 2020/21 .
