The Buckaroos were an American country band best known on the radio.
Career
The group consisted of Paul "Slim" Hayes ( vocals ), Jack Lester ( guitar ), Red Scobee ( bass , banjo , mandolin ), Charley Adams ( steel guitar ) and Joe Zanotti ( accordion ). They had a successful radio show on the WHO station in Des Moines , Iowa from 1940 to 1950. They later also had a television show on WHO-TV. Slim Hayes had a television show called The Lucky 13 Ranch .
