Paul Putzig

Paul Putzig (born October 3, 1903 in Gelsenkirchen , † July 12, 1975 in Hamm ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from primary school, Putzig completed a commercial apprenticeship. He then attended elementary school and took advanced training courses. He was a member of the Old Miners' Association until 1933 , after 1945 he joined the DGB and became a department head. In the summer of 1953 he became a member of the Higher Administrative Court in Münster .

Putzig was initially a member of the USPD and joined the SPD in 1922.

Putzig was a council member of the community of Heessen and district council member of the Beckum district since 1946 . Putzig was mayor of the municipality of Heessen from 1946 to 1948 and again from 1952. From 1948 to 1952 he was deputy district administrator for the Beckum district. He was a member of the German Bundestag from February 13, 1954, when he replaced the late Member of Parliament Robert Görlinger , until 1957. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia .
