The Delgados was a British band in 1994 Glasgow ( Scotland was founded). The band chose their name after the cyclist Pedro Delgado . In addition to music, the four friends also have their own music label Chemikal Underground , which they founded together in 1994.
After bassist Stewart Henderson left, the group broke up in April 2005. The two songwriters Emma Pollock and Alun Woodward announced solo projects. In 2006 a compilation of the seven peel sessions completed by the band in the 10 years of its existence appeared under the name The Complete BBC Peel Sessions .
