The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place is the third album of post-rock - band Explosions in the Sky , which was released on November 4 of 2003.

Explosions in the Sky adapted Your Hand in Mine for the soundtrack to Friday Night Lights , along with other material created for the film. They shortened the piece from more than eight minutes to around four minutes and added string accompaniment to it. Parts of the title, particularly the crescendo at minute 6:18, were used in a number of television and radio commercials for the energy company Reliant Energy . The track was also used in the "Local on the 8s" segment of weather forecasting provider The Weather Channel from July to August 2011 and January to February 2012.
The Only Moment We Were Alone is featured in the trailer for Australia , in the documentary Love the Beast , and in Michael Moore's film Capitalism: A Love Story .
First Breath After Coma was featured in a 2009 promotion for Versus TV , a clip on the sports network Big Ten Network , in an advertisement for sporting goods manufacturer Under Armor , and in the outro of the skate video Good and Evil . The Director Shawn Levy took the title at the filming of Real Steel , an actor Dakota Goyo to make her cry.
