Dakota Goyo
Dakota Goyo (* 22. August 1999 in Toronto , Ontario as Dakota Avery Goyo ) is a Canadian actor .
life and career
Dakota Goyo was born in Toronto , the youngest of three sons to Debra, former model and singer, and David Goyo . At the age of five he got his first role in the pilot episode of the CBS series Ultra , from which no series emerged in the end. Also in 2005 he gave a brief guest role in the cartoon series Jojos Zirkus . In 2007 he starred alongside Samuel L. Jackson as the film son of Josh Hartnett and Kathryn Morris in the film The Champ in the role of Teddy Kernan . This role earned him not only good reviews, but also a nomination at the Young Artist Awards 2008 in the category Best Supporting Actor in a Feature Film - Ten Years or Younger . In the same year he played the role of Timmy Winters , the great-grandson of Susan Sarandon's character , in the drama Emotional Arithmetic . This was followed in 2009 by the role of Jack Carter in the film Defendor , a guest appearance in the mystery series The Listener - Hellhörig , and the supporting role as Alwyn Jones in the crime series Murdoch Mysteries . In the same year he was also cast in the title role for the ABC series Solving Charlie , but only one pilot episode was produced. In 2010 he voiced the role of Timmy Tibble for the cartoon series Aardvark Arthur and his friends and made a guest appearance on the short-lived television series Happy Town . At the age of ten, he was selected to play the role of Max Kenton in DreamWorks ' science fiction film Real Steel . For this role, Goyo won the award for Best Actor in a Feature Film at the Young Artist Awards 2012 and was nominated for Best Young Actor at the Saturn Awards 2012 . After completing the shooting of Real Steel , he stood in front of the camera as a young Thor in the film of the same name , which is based on the comic book character of the Marvel publishing house . In 2011 he took on a role in RL Stine's mystery horror television series RL Stine's The Haunting Hour . The end of 2012 took Goyo the synchronous role of Jamie Bennett in the computer-animated 3D - action movie Rise of the Guardians .
