A cartoonist stands in front of a blank sheet of paper and draws a plump man. He also draws a bottle of wine and a wine glass. He takes both from the drawing and drinks a glass of wine. The figure on the paper drinks the rest of the wine from the bottle. He draws a hat for the man, which he then takes away from him and puts on himself. Finally, he also draws the man a cigar and lets him enjoy it for a while.
The film found a sequel in Humorous Phases of Funny Faces from 1906.
