The Gate is a German heavy metal band from Andernach in Rhineland-Palatinate.

history

The band was founded in 2010 by guitarist "Preacher" Gerald Warnecke (formerly with Running Wild ) and singer Guido Krämer (formerly with The Company ). The band also includes bassist Tino (formerly with Insolence) and drummer Peter “Unruh” (formerly with Underdog, One Sign Of Metal). In 2011 Preacher's son Korbinian Warnecke joined the band as the second guitarist. In 2012 Guido Krämer left The Gate and is working again with his old band. Sven Steinert joined the band for him .

In 2011 the band's first album was released, called Earth Cathedral .

style

Stylistically, the band can be classified in " old school ".
