The Company was a thrash metal band from Andernach , Rhineland-Palatinate , which was founded in 1994 and disbanded in 2003. The band became known through joint concerts with bands such as In Flames , Nevermore , Grave Digger , Megaherz , Apocalyptica and Iced Earth . Since 2012, Guido Krämer (until 2012 The Gate ), Lala Adamowicz, Markus Rhodmann and Doug Piercy have been working together on a reunion and writing new songs.
history
The band was formed in 1994 after former Heathen guitarist Doug Piercy emigrated to Germany from San Francisco . Guido Krämer was the singer, Peter Adamowicz was the drummer, while Ingo Farrano played the bass. After the first demo was released in the same year, the self-titled debut album followed in 1995. This was only released in Japan and even reached number 17 in the Japanese charts, but the band was never able to play the planned tour in Japan. During this period the band was managed by Byrt Djouad (formerly Parryzide, now Heavens a Beer ).
In 1997 the second album Frozen By Heat was released . The album featured Chris Boltendahl from Grave Digger , who was the manager of The Company at the time. This has often been compared to bands like Forbidden and Piercy's ex-band Heathen. Then Doug Piercy left the band and was replaced by Robert Bennett. The band played with him at the Rheinkultur festival in Bonn . However, this also left the band, whereupon Hammet Haghu and Markus Rhodmann replaced him. The third and final album Awaking Under Dogs was released in 2002 , before the band split up the following year.
Guido Krämer, Doug Piercy and Lala Adamowicz have been working on reuniting the band since 2012.
style
The band plays classic Thrash Metal, which is very similar to that from the San Francisco Bay Area . The band Overkill is used as a comparison . However, The Company's works are less harsh.
