The Ghastly Ones
The Ghastly Ones , named after the '68 horror film of the same name, are an American surf rock / garage rock band from Van Nuys , California and formed in the fall of 1996 with the line-up Garrett "Dr. Lehos "Immel ( guitar ), bassist Kevin" Sir GoGo Ghostly "Hair and drummer Norman" Baron Shivers "Cabrera. Under the influence of early surf rock bands like the Lively Ones and the Del-Aires as well as garage rock icons like Screaming Lord Sutch or Screamin 'Jay Hawkins , they developed their own "Spooky Surf".
Band history
The band's first appearances aroused the interest of Rob Zombie , who released their first album A Haunting We Will Go-Go in 1997 on "Zombie-A-Go-Go Records". At the same time, the "Ghastly Ones" toured with artists such as Brian Setzer , The Bomboras and Los Straitjackets . After a long hiatus, the “Ghastly Ones” released a new album in 2005, Glows In The Dark, with an expanded line-up. Dave "Captain Clegg" Klein on the organ of The Bomboras and the dancer Kate completed the band. In 2006 the album Target Draculion was released.
