The Go Faster Nuns is a German punk rock band from Bamberg . She was founded in 1999 and describes her music as "Beatpunk". Her musical style can be defined as punk 'n' roll .

history

In the summer of 1999 the quartet recorded a self-titled debut single which, after its release, made it into the editorial charts of the Maximum Rock'n'Roll punk fanzine. A split single with the Italians by Willy Wonkas followed in August 2000.

Another year later, in 2001, the debut album "Teenage Love Beats" was released, with The Go Faster Nuns touring Europe in support of bands such as Leatherface, New Bomb Turks, Snuff and the Turbo ACs. Then it got quiet around the band before they went back to the studio in late autumn 2003 to record their second long player. "Under Neon Light" was released in March 2005 on Go-Kart Records Europe. The four musicians then went on extensive tours with bands such as The Queers, The Dwarves, Therapy! or the adolescents.

In 2008 their last LP "In Traffic" was released before the band split up on June 12th, 2009 after their last concert in Bamberg.

After an absence of almost 10 years, The Go Faster Nuns played an exclusive reunion show at the Rock im Wald Festival in Neuensee, Franconia in 2018.
